SPECIAL GUEST ATTENDING!
In the late nineties, Harold Mintz decided to donate a kidney to "whoever needed it the most," becoming the country’s first anonymous living kidney donor.
The recipient, Ethiopian woman Gennet Belay, shares moving memories of the hardships she faced before the donation, offering us a glimpse into the reality of living on the waiting list. While Harold and Gennet did not know each other's names, ages or even genders as they went into their operating rooms, they now share not only organs, but also close friendship. This story of love and generosity encourages us all to lend a hand – or kidney – to others, no matter how different from us they may be.
