Amber

A Global Perspective (Foreign Shorts Block) --
Amber is thriller short about teen fan fiction writer Amber Gorman who takes her boyband obsession too far in a tense, late-night confrontation with the object of her desires. Unable to distinguish reality from fantasy the film’s twists and turns wrongfoot its audiences throughout.
Amber stars newcomer, Cat Van Dort in the title role and Will Finlason as Charlie, the jaded pop star.
The film was written and directed by award-winning performer, writer and director, Andi Osho and inspired by a Channel 4 documentary about One Direction Fans.
Andi is well know for her work as a comedian and as an actor on TV comedy and drama, including the upcoming Channel4/ Hulu production, Kiri and Warner Brothers Horror, Lights Out.
Amber is Andi’s directorial debut though she wrote and produced the crowd-sourced experimental film, Brit.i.am which features an array of familiar faces including Gaggy Logan, Rufus Hound and Alastair Campbell.
Andi’s film school project, The Grid, screened at Stan Lee’s Kamikaze in 2016.
This is Andi’s second collaboration with BAFTA nominated editor Adam Recht (My Week With Marilyn, Victoria, Poldark, Doctor Who).
