Ice House

Ice House is a psychological thriller, much in the same style as the Coen Brothers’ Blood Simple and Alfred Hitchcock’s Strangers on a Train. This is a story about friendship, betrayal, revenge and greed that explores the darker side of human nature.
Our story takes place in a small town in Northern Minnesota. Grant, a man of privilege and wealth, invites his childhood friend, Wayne, a blue-collar good ol’ boy, out to join him in his fish house that’s located on an isolated section of a large frozen lake.
Quickly we begin to realize that these two men are not very close friends, and the reason for the invitation may not be as simple as it seemed to be. Grant has a dangerous sense of humor, is armed, deeply paranoid and is trapped in an unhappy marriage. Wayne is a simple man, stuck in a dead-end job, and struggles to take care of an ailing relative who raised him. All the while, a dangerous storm is moving in that may possibly trap the two men on the lake for the night.

Grant finally reveals his true murderous and devious intentions, forcing each man to fight for his life, sending one of them to an icy grave at the bottom of the lake.
