A son and his immigrant mother argue about the best way to play golf. Two teen girls straddle the border between childhood and adulthood. After the Taliban seizes control of Afghanistan, a young woman tries to flee the country with her instrument as her sole possession. These disparate films all have one thing in common: storytelling driven by a beating heart.
