Synopsis

Pat Brown, the subject of the film and an internationally renowned scientist will be in attendance! Q&A to follow the screening!

WILD HOPE: MISSION IMPOSSIBLE tells the inspiring story of how a late-career epiphany led a “wacky genius” to abandon his academic career and commit himself to fighting global warming and biodiversity collapse, starting with a surprising product - an impossibly delicious plant-based hamburger.

Stanford University biochemist Pat Brown wanted nothing more than to save the world from climate change. When his research revealed that animal agriculture was a major culprit, he forged a new path and invented the Impossible Burger, a nutritious, plant-based patty that uses 96% less land, 87% less water, and generates 89% less greenhouse gas emissions than traditional beef burgers. Through groundbreaking science and unwavering commitment, Pat's mission transformed the culinary landscape—and provided real hope for a more sustainable and ethical food system.

NOTE: Admission to this film includes a private vegan tasting in the TCFF Lounge following the film.
