Acting for Voiceover: An Interactive Workshop with Beth Chaplin

Success in voiceover isn’t just about a pretty voice. Sure, that helps… but what clients and ad agencies are really looking for are truthful, connected voiceover reads.
Actors learn skills and techniques to turn text into believable communication. Simple? Well, no. Trained actors work for years to learn the craft of acting. However, learning a few of the basic skills and techniques can free your inner actor to bring more connection and truth to your voiceover reads. The guideposts (from Michael Shurtleff’s acclaimed book, Audition!) have been called, “good acting fast.” During this interactive session, you’ll use these guideposts to experience for yourself how key acting concepts can make your reads sound and FEEL more truthful, connected, and believable. (Bring a simple recording device – your phone’s voice memo app will work just fine.) ***Workshop Attendees will receive information on a 50% off discount for a 30- or 60-minute consultation or coaching session with Beth***
