What We Program

We believe in film.

No medium provokes discussion and evokes empathy more than film. TCFF programming is replete with diverse voices that challenge the status quo and shift perceptions.  Socially responsible programming pushes our audience to make an individual difference in their community and positively shape society.

STUDIO SERIES: Every year TCFF curates a incredible array of Studio Film Premieres before they are available to the general public in Theaters or Streaming Platforms. Past premieres have including BEST PICTURE Winners Nomadland, Green Book, Moonlight alongside Best Picture Nominees like Sound of Metal, JoJo Rabbit, A Marriage Story, Just Mercy and more!

HER SERIES: HER Series spotlights films made by, for and about women. TCFF continues to amplify the voices of women in entertainment and media

EMPOWER SERIES: TCFF is proud to highlight thought provoking content created by and for the BIPOC Community. From documentaries to narratives, features to short films, TCFF promotes underrepresented voices of diverse storytellers.

CHANGEMAKER SERIES: TCFF utilizes the singular power of film to elicit compassion and expand understanding in its Changemaker Series. Designed to capture that moment of enlightenment, the Changemaker Series drives audiences toward passion and activism around a specially curated topic each year. Past years have highlighted topics of Addiction, Sex Trafficking, Homeless Youth, Education, Veteran Support, Affordable Living and more.
2021’s Changemaker Series will focus on Mental Wellness, with a spotlight on our emotional, psychological, and social well-being.

MINNESOTA SERIES: We believe in the Minnesota Film Artist. The high caliber film talent found in Minnesota deserves a nationally visible platform.  TCFF is dedicated to the cultivation of local filmmakers by providing educational resources to expand skill sets, networking with the national film industry, and nurturing distribution opportunities.
