Synopsis

The Intercollegiate Film Festival (IFF) recognizes the work of student filmmakers as part of an interconnected statewide film community. The festival provides networking opportunities and juried merit awards of distinction from industry professionals.

The Selected Films:

THE TRAINER by Braden Williams - THE TRAINER is a short profile of Cam Krugerud, founder of Thumos Fitness. We follow him through his personal workout routine as we hear his story of overcoming trauma, discovering faith, and helping others.

MISTER ROBINSON by Max Jacobson - Town favorite, Mister Robinson, goes on his morning walk, greeting everyone as he goes to the local hardware store to pick up some supplies. Little does the town know what really goes on behind closed doors...

THE PURR-FECT CRIME by Nash Hoover - In this noir comedy short, grizzled private eye Sam Slater is dragged from his smoky, bourbon-soaked office into a case unlike any other: a missing cat named Mr. Tibbles.

EXPERIMENTAL ESSAY/DISSECTION by Grayson Tenor - An iconoclastic subversion on catholicism.

WILLOW by Birch Carlson - An animated short about a ghostly fox who just wants to be seen.

INHERITANCE by Caleb Welsch - In the aftermath of his father's death, Tony Bendetti, a young mob leader, must navigate his family dynamic when a dark secret is revealed.

PICTURE DAY by Kyle Xiong - PICTURE DAY follows a self-admitted over-thinker, as she navigates the micro-anxieties of choosing the perfect outfit and directing her social world while getting ready for school.

EEL PATROL by Cade Janvrin - A giant eel attacks a beach, and there's only two dudes that can save the day: The Eel Patrol!

PINHOLE AT THE EDGE OF THE EARTH by Julia Curry - A young photographer contemplates the subject and purpose of her work as she reconnects with a neglected personification of her own artistic “eye”.

LIGHT SNACK by Peter Rudolph - Astro the astronaut tries his absolute hardest to retrieve his microwavable popcorn from the cold depths of outer space.

CASH OUT! by Ian Porter - Facing a dangeous debt, a young man finds himself risking everything while his friend prepares to cross a line to protect him.
