The Twin Cities Film Fest (TCFF) relies strongly on volunteers who dedicate their time on helping us run a well-round event! Without our volunteers the TCFF would not be possible. We strive to make volunteering stimulating and fun and hope to see returning volunteers each year. Our goal is to provide a positive and friendly atmosphere in which everyone is treated with courtesy and respect, while together creating an exciting event that celebrates film.
Volunteer Requirements
- You must be 18 years of age or older to volunteer
- Reliable transportation
- Flexible with schedule and responsibilities
- Out of town volunteers are responsible for their own lodging, transportation, food, and other personal expenses.

Red Carpet Host
Welcome the Stars
Interview filmmakers, talent, and special guests on the red carpet, facilitating conversations that highlight films and festival experiences. Collaborate with media and photography teams while representing TCFF with professionalism and enthusiasm.

Community Outreach
Create the Glitz & Glam
Distribute marketing materials throughout the community, assist with compiling lists of local businesses and partners, help with poster placement and promotional outreach, and support festival marketing efforts by sharing events on social media.

Photographer
Capture the Moment
Assist the Lead Photographer with capturing candid event and festival photos, red carpet stills, and sponsor product/logo coverage. Edit, enhance, and organize images as needed to ensure high-quality visual content for marketing and promotional use.

Videographer
Create the Story
Film festival events, panels, red carpets, and audience experiences while capturing b-roll and behind-the-scenes footage that showcases TCFF. Work with the marketing and media team to create quality video content and organize footage for editing and distribution.

Ticketing Assist
Pass the Magic On
Assist with ticket, pass, and voucher distribution, answer guest questions regarding tickets and seating, provide excellent customer service during check-in and entry, and support box office operations by helping resolve ticketing issues and guest concerns.

Brand Ambassador
Represent TCFF
Manage the TCFF booth at select events and during the festival, promote and sell memberships and merchandise, educate attendees about TCFF and its programs, and distribute promotional materials to guests and community members.

Playback Assist
Roll Film
Assist with theater set-up and tear-down of lighting equipment, handle lights and microphones for intros and Q&As, help prepare theaters for upcoming screenings, maintain equipment throughout the festival, and assist filmmakers as needed.

Usher/Greeter
Guide Attendees
Welcome and thank guests before and after screenings, promote festival events, assist with seating and line management, maintain a clean theater environment, support Q&A set-up and tear-down, assist with surveys, and monitor prohibited items or activities.

Festival Assist
Bring the Festival to Life
Assist with event set-up and clean-up, support staff with tasks as needed, help manage rush lines, and prepare event spaces. Maintain clean and welcoming festival grounds while engaging with patrons and providing general event support.

Festival Lounge Aid
Bring the Party
Assist with Festival Lounge set-up and clean-up, support bar staff and tasks as needed, greet guests, and help create a welcoming atmosphere. Engage with patrons and keep lounge spaces active, organized, and inviting throughout the event.

Red Carpet Assist
Create the Glitz & Glam
Assist with red carpet set-up and tear-down, including the carpet, lighting, backdrop, and MEVO. Operate the MEVO for live social media broadcasts, help manage guest flow and interviews, ensure equipment is charged, and support other red carpet duties as needed.
