How much is an individual ticket and where can they be purchased?

Individual tickets to in person screenings will be either $13 or $25 and online screenings will be $10. Some of our in person and streaming films will be free.

Where does the Twin Cities Film Fest take place?

In 2024, all in-person screenings will take place at the Marcus West End Cinema at the Shops at the West End in St. Louis Park. All online films will showcase on our website through our TCFF STREAMS platform.
Marcus West End Cinema: 1625 West End Blvd St. Louis Park, MN 55416

Where do my films show up after I purchase them online?

You will need to create an account to purchase or view films. When a film(s) is purchased it will automatically show up in MY MOVIES. You can access that from an icon on the lower left corner of your screen. ONLINE FILMS will say “Ready to Watch” and SPECIAL STREAMING EVENTS will say “Live Event” and can be streamed at the designated date and time.

When you purchase an ALL ACCESS STREAMING PASS, all of the films will appear in MY MOVIES.

You can also access your purchased films from individual landing pages as well.

Do I have to purchase an ALL ACCESS STREAMING PASS or can I purchase individual films online?

If you aren’t interested in purchasing the TCFF $60 All-Access Streaming Pass, you can purchase streaming films individually for $10. There are also a number of films available for free.

Once you log in to the TCFF website and click on a film, the site will either indicate that the film you choose is $10 or free.

Are film passes available?

The online pass available at the 2024 TCFF is the ALL ACCESS STREAMING PASS for $60. This allows passholders access to over 70 short and feature-length films on our website for the duration of the festival. SILVER PASS gets you access to 5 in-person general admission films for $55. GOLD PASS gets you access to 8 in-person general admission films for $80. PLATINUM PASS gets you access to 12 in-person general admission films for $110. SPOTLIGHT PASS gets you access to 6 in-person spotlight films for $125.

Do I need a special app, such as ROKU, to watch the films on my smartTV?

We do NOT have an app to push films to a TV. However, we’ve made it easier. If you have a Smart TV, then you can simply go to the built-in browser on the TV (essentially somewhere you can access Google/Yahoo or any search engine), then go to our website (www.twincitiesfilmfest.org) and log in as you would on your laptop. All of your movies will be there for you to watch!

If your television doesn’t have an internal browser, then you can use other methods to connect your device and your smart TV such as Bluetooth or an HDMI cable. All televisions are different, so searching for an appropriate YouTube tutorial for your television will probably be beneficial.

Your ‘movies’ will appear in MY MOVIES in the lower left bottom of the homepage. You must be logged in to access MY MOVIES.

Do I have to create an account before searching content on the TCFF website?

You do not have to create an account to search through all of our film offerings. If you are interested in purchasing tickets to the in-person or online films, you will have to create a free account. Creating an account gives you access to our free content and allows you to be able to stream films on various devices.

Can I purchase an individual short film?

No. All of our short films are organized into four thematic blocks and only available in a block. You can’t purchase short films separately. Viewers have some flexibility when watching films to fast forward and search.

Short films can be purchased from their individual landing pages or from the block page.

Do the ONLINE FILMS expire?

All of our ONLINE FILMS (not SPECIAL STREAMING EVENTS) can be viewed from October 17th-26th, 24/7. They do not expire until the last day of the festival and can be streamed in several settings or multiple times. You can use fast forward, search, pause and full screen on the messages, film and post discussion.

I have a technical problem with the website and streaming. Who do I talk to?

We want your TCFF experience to be valuable and smooth. If you have any questions or concerns, please email streams@twincitiesfilmfest.org. We try to accommodate questions via email as opposed to telephone conversations.

My films are not playing smoothly and buffering, what can I do?

As we launched our new online platform, we’re committed to great streaming and playback. Here are some potential solutions to common problems.

Excessive buffering, glitching or freezing up – a tiny bit of buffering is normal when gaining access to a large digital file at the beginning. However, it should not be continuous. If you’re having problems with buffering, glitching or freezing up, we’d suggest that you try a different browser. We have found the most problems with FIREFOX. If you’re using that browser, please switch to Safari, Internet Explorer or Google Chrome.

Film wouldn’t play – again, it may be the browser. However, make sure you have your ADBLOCKER disabled. That can disrupt playback.

If your wi-fi service is inadequate, you may also experience problems.

Why do I have to turn off my ADBLOCKER to stream films?

Our films will not play properly if your adblocker is on. Our playback involves several “files” that play in order. The adblocker detects multiple files and prohibits the film from screening on your device. There is no way around it.

Turning your adblocker on and off is pretty simple once you try it. You can turn it off for a couple of hours to watch the film and then turn it back on. Here is a tutorial link from YouTube for the four main browsers: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QpY5bDy7X7Q

Turning off your adblocker temporarily will not put your computer in danger of being hacked or corrupted.

Will there be a TCFF Festival Lounge?

Yes, there will be a Festival Lounge this year. The lounge is located across the street from Marcus West End Cinema under the pavilion. The lounge will be open to the public to relax and network. Regular hours may vary.

Are patrons allowed to take photos and walk on the red carpet?

Yes! We encourage you to take photos on the red carpet and share your experience via your social media networks and TCFF’s networks on Facebook or Twitter.

What are TCFF Educational Events and where are they located?

We are planning several educational offerings. Please check back for more information.

I am unable to attend the Twin Cities Film Fest, but would like to support the cause. How can I make a tax deductible donation?
