Twin Cities Film Fest, through generous funding by the Minnesota Humanities Center, is proud to celebrate diversity of our local cultural heritage through a series of MNmicro Film Festivals! Each festival in the series will take place during their respective months of national celebrations: Pride (June 2024), Indigenous (November 2024), Black History (February 2025), and Asian American Pacific Islander (May 2025).

The second of the MNmicro Film Festivals will celebrate our local indigenous community November 17, 2024 in conjunction with national Indigenous month featuring 5 indigenous films.
MNmicro Film Festival: Black History

The third of the MNmicro Film Festivals will celebrate our local black community February 2025 in conjunction with national Black History month featuring 5 films with empowering stories of black lives.
MNmicro Film Festival: Pacific Islander
May 2025 – Date TBD
The fourth and last of the MNmicro Film Festivals will celebrate our local Pacific Islander community in May 2025 in conjunction with national Pacific Islander month featuring 5 films surrounding the stories of Pacific Islanders.

TCFF was one of 86 recipients from a pool of over 350 applicants to receive a grant for the MNmicro Film Festival celebrating Minnesota’s cultural heritage. The Cultural Heritage awards support a wide range of activities throughout the entire State of Minnesota to preserve and honor the state’s cultural heritage by providing education and student outreach on cultural diversity, supporting the development of culturally diverse humanities programming, and empowering communities in building identity and culture. This work is funded in part by the Minnesota Humanities Center (MHC) with money from the Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund that was created with the vote of the people of Minnesota on November 4, 2008.
