Synopsis

FILMMAKERS IN ATTENDANCE!

Seventy years ago the historic Brown V. Board of Education Supreme Court declared that separating children in schools by race was unconstitutional. In the years following, integration would be a slow moving process and met with resistance. Each state has its own integration story. In this documentary, you will hear first hand accounts from students, staff and community members about integration in Minnesota beginning in 1971 with the Pairing of Hale and Field Elementary School.
