Synopsis

The last two members of the Heaven’s Gate cult methodically undertake their house chores, excited about the voyage that awaits them. But when one member questions the other’s adherence to the cult’s unyielding rules, doubts about their imminent departure escalate into a conflict which could upend their long-planned mission. As the frighteningly dogmatic member labors to bring the wavering member back into alignment, using varying forms of emotional manipulation, they battle internal and external threats to restore the harmony of their group—and the sanctity of their faith. As they prepare for their bedtime ritual, their final destination becomes devastatingly clear. Based on a true story.
